ANSWER 02.001: The best sources to recommend are ones that are continually being updated. In this way you will be directing your residents to information that will be updated on a daily basis.
- General questions and information about what is happening in the United States. We recommend advising residents to first visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website answering “frequently asked questions” by going to https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/faq.html.
- If residents ask about what is happening in Massachusetts, then the best place to go is https://www.mass.gov/resource/information-on-the-outbreak-of-coronavirus-disease-2019-covid-19
- If residents ask about what is happening in their town or city, direct them to their municipality’s website and look for Corona Virus or COVID-19 alerts. Also have them visit their BOH and/or Health Department webpage. You can find a list of all municipal websites by going to https://www.mass.gov/lists/massachusetts-city-and-town-websites
- For those residents that are interested in global outbreak information, the World Health Organization’s website is one of the best sources available at https://www.who.int/health-topics/coronavirus
