Attention Board of Health and Agricultural Commission Members
Did you know that Massachusetts law has been revised as of January, 2021 to provide that local Boards of Health may no longer pass any health regulation that impacts agriculture in a municipality that has an Agricultural Commission without first submitting that health regulation to the Agricultural Commission for its review? Do you know when you can and cannot declare an activity to be a “nuisance” when there is an agricultural-based operation in the picture? Are you concerned with environmental impacts of agriculture from a public health standpoint?
